Pairing the Printer with Your Tablet

Check in the POS and Test Print
Open the Menu using the ≡ icon in the top-left corner and go to Settings > Printers.
-
Select your printer and check that its status is Online.
If it shows as Offline, verify that the Printer Address matches the BT MAC displayed on the self-test. You can find instructions for printing the self-test below.
If necessary, update it by clicking the Printer Address field.
If you change the printer address, you must log out and log back in to apply the change.
Click Test Print, the printer will print: “Your device is working properly.”
Self-test
A self-test is a printout containing the technical details of your device.
- Turn off the printer using the button on the right side.
- Press and hold the Feed button, then turn the printer on. After approximately 3 seconds, release the button.
- On the printed paper, you will find, among other information, the BT MAC value.
Diagnostics
On your printer, you will find two LED indicators – red and blue.
Blue Power Indicator:
If the blue Power indicator is on, the printer is properly connected and the power supply is working correctly. If the indicator is off, check the power adapter connection.Red Error Indicator:
If the red Error indicator is flashing, it may indicate a problem with the auto cutter, overheating of the print head, or that the paper roll is finished. If the Error indicator is steady on, try unplugging the printer for 5–10 minutes and let it rest.If both indicators flash simultaneously, the printer is signaling a paper shortage.

Printer pairing
- Connect the LAN cable to the port on the back of the printer labeled Net, and connect the other end to the router.
- The Net port should display orange and green control light, which that printer is receiving an internet connection.
Setup of the printer in POS
- Open the Storyous app on the main device.
- Go to the Menu using the ≡ icon in the top left corner, then click Settings > Printers.
- Select the LAN printer that is offline.
- Click on the address and enter the IP address from the self-test printout (instruction below).
- Confirm.
- Log out and log back into the Storyous app.
Test print
- In the cash register app, click on the Menu ≡ > Settings > Printers.
- Click on Test Print.
- The printer will print: Your device is working correctly.
Self-test
A self-test is a printout with the device’s technical details. To print it, follow these steps:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Feed button, turn the printer on, and release the button after 3 seconds.
The printer will print one shorter receipt first, and after a moment a second, longer one with technical information. What we are interested in is the second receipt — at the bottom, look for the IP ADDRESS.
Printer Reset
The printer needs to be reset when changing the router, after a power outage, or a blown fuse. After resetting, you will need to reconfigure the printer through its software interface.
Steps:
The printer must be plugged into a power outlet and turned on.
On the back side, to the left of the LAN cable, you will find a small red button labeled SW — to press it, you will need a sharp, thin object, such as a pen.
Press and hold the button; after about two seconds, the indicators next to the LAN cable will start flashing. Once this happens, release the button and press it again quickly.
The indicators will then turn off and the printer will reset — you will hear the internal mechanism move.
The indicators on the front will flash rapidly, and afterwards only the green light will stay on — this indicates that the reset was successful.
If the reset does not work after several attempts, unplug the printer’s adapter from the socket for 10-15 minutes, give the printer a moment to rest, and try resetting it again later.
|
Important: If the printer has the IP address 0.0.0.0, it means it was unable to obtain an IP address. Check the connection of the LAN cable to the printer and the router, and/or the static IP address settings. You can find solutions to the most common printer issues here. |
Diagnostics
On the front of the printer, you will find two indicators — POWER (green) and ERROR (red).
If only the red ERROR light blinks, the printer is out of paper.
If both indicators blink slowly at the same time, there is a communication issue with the router. In this case, the LAN cable is likely not properly plugged in or is faulty. Try disconnecting and reconnecting it, or consider replacing it.
If both indicators blink rapidly, the printer has lost its IP address. Try turning off the router, wait for a moment, then turn it on again, or plug the printer’s LAN cable into a different port on the router. Afterward, reset the printer. If the self-test prints all zeros, you will need to contact your network technician.
⬇️ Mobile Bluetooth Printer (O2 eKasa)
The 58mm MINI Thermal Receipt Printer (O2 eKasa) was provided to clients when transitioning from the O2 cash register to the Storyous system and is no longer available for sale.

You will see a device named “Bluetooth printer” — this is your printer.
Tap this device and enter the password 1234.
The printer is now paired, go back to the Storyous app.
Go to Menu ≡ → Settings → Printers, select the printer and tap Test print.
The printer will print: Your device is working correctly.
Self-test

Press and hold the FEED and POWER buttons.
When the purple indicator light turns on, release both buttons and a self-test will be printed.
On the last line of the self-test, you should see the Bluetooth Addr field (the physical Bluetooth address of the device).
You can also view this address in the POS application via Menu ≡ → Settings → Printers → Select the printer and check Printer Address.
If it differs from the address on the self-test, tap the field and update the address. To apply the changes, log out and log back into the Storyous application.
