In Storyous, you can set multiple price levels for a single product according to the customer type or sales method. You can use this feature, for example, for employee prices, VIP customers, regular guests, or a different price for takeaway sales.
You can set prices in two ways:
either select a fixed price that you enter into the system,
or add a markup to the purchase price.
You can also link a price level to a specific table, so the correct price is automatically applied according to the table settings when placing an order.

Example: Imagine that you sell coffee at the regular price of CZK 60 in your venue. You want to set a discounted price of CZK 40 for employees and a takeaway price of CZK 65, which reflects the cost of the packaging. In this case, simply create individual price tiers for the Coffee product and assign the corresponding prices to them. You can then link the employee or takeaway price tier to a specific table so that the correct price is applied automatically when placing an order. |
Setting up a price level
In the web administration, you can find the price level settings under Businesses -> Products.
Click Edit (the pencil icon) for the relevant product.
Select Show more.
On the lower right, you will see the option to set the Price levels for the product.
In this section, you can create a completely new price level or add, edit, or delete an existing one. You must always save the changes using the Save button in the bottom right.
Creating a new price level
Click Price levels – you will see the option to create a new price level and a list of those already created.

Enter a name
- and click + Add to save the newly created price level,

or set the Product price calculated from costs:
- The product price is calculated from the recipe costs including VAT, increased by the markup, and updated automatically. Products without a recipe use their product price.
| Example: Coffee has a purchase price of CZK 10. You want to offer employees a discounted price for coffee during their shift. You therefore set a 20% markup on the purchase price. |
Adding a price level
Simply find the previously created price level in the list, select it and, if necessary, add a price.
Editing price levels
You can edit existing price levers in the list, set the Product price calculated from costs or delete them.
Price levels at the Storyous application
When ringing up a product with price levels, you will be able to select the specific price level you want to use after selecting the product.
Assigning price levels to individual tables
You can also assign price levels to specific tables, such as an employee table or a table for VID clients.
Open the Businesses -> Tables section in the web administration.
Click Edit (the pencil icon).
Select the default price level and click Save.
If you now order a product with the Employee price level configured, the price on a table with this price level will be automatically set according to the relevant rules.
