First steps with your Storyous POS/Tablet

Thank you for choosing Storyous POS. We are happy to be a part of your business and help you simplify and streamline it. In this article, we will guide you through the process of connecting and turning on your tablet so that you can start enjoying all the benefits of our system as soon as possible.

1. General Settings

  • Our devices run on the Android system.
  • After unpacking, press and hold the power button on the side or back to turn on the device.
  • The volume buttons are located on the side of the POS/tablet.

2. Power

  • The 14" and 15" POS/tablets do not have a battery, so they must always be plugged into a power source.
  • Other models have a built-in battery. Charge them only with the original charger. Once fully charged, disconnect them to extend battery life. The PAX A920 Pro model can also be charged via a docking station.

3. Accessories

  • Some POS/tablets support a wooden stand (instructions can be found in the packaging).
  • Protective cases are also available.

4. Internet Connection Depending on the device type, you can use:

  • Wi-Fi:

    1. Open Settings > Network & Internet.
    2. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
    3. Once connected, the status will display "Connected."
  • LAN (internet cable):

    1. Connect the cable to the router and POS/tablet (port is located on the back).
  • Mobile Internet (SIM card):

    1. Insert the SIM card (the slot is on the side or under the battery).
    2. Turn on mobile data from the top control panel or go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network.

Recommendations:

  • Use a separate network just for the POS system.
  • Connect all devices to the same network (except those using mobile data).
  • Prefer LAN connection if possible.
  • Use only one type of connection (e.g., if using LAN, turn off Wi-Fi).

5. Logging into Storyous

  • The POS application is pre-installed on the devices.
  • Log in using the email and password created during registration.
  • The same accounts will be used for all parts of the POS system (web administration, MyStoryous app) and our services.
Not recommended: Installing other applications to keep the device's memory reserved for the POS app and ensure its proper functionality.
