Large LAN printer

In this article, we’ll go through the basic steps needed to work with the Xprinter XP-C260-N printer with an 80 mm paper roll width, which connects via Bluetooth.

You’ll learn how to correctly insert paper into the printer, how to pair it with a tablet, and how to find its physical address. This address needs to be entered into our internal system so that the Storyous POS app on your tablet can communicate with the printer without any issues.

Loading the Paper Roll

Open the top of the printer and insert the roll into the internal compartment, ensuring that the paper unwinds upward, as shown in the image. If the paper is running low, a red panel on the front of the printer will light up.

Tip: Use high-quality thermal paper (you can order them through our sales department; contact information can be found here).

Printer pairing

  1. Connect the LAN cable to the port on the back of the printer labeled Net, and connect the other end to the router.
  2. The Net port should display orange and green control light, which that printer is receiving an internet connection.

Self-test

A self-test is a printout with the device’s technical details. To print it, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Feed button, turn the printer on, and release the button after 3 seconds.
  3. The printed document will contain the printer’s IP address.

Attention

  • If a blank paper was printed or the paper shows “hexadecimal”, please repeat the procedure – the self-test was not successful.
  • If the IP address ends with 192.168.123.100, the printer is not connected to the internet. If Net DHCP is disabled, the IP address is fixed and the printer will not accept a new address from the router. Solutions for this and other common LAN printer issues can be found here.

Diagnostics

  • Blue Power Indicator:
If the blue Power light is on, the printer is properly connected, and the power supply is working correctly. If the light is off, check that the power adapter is properly connected.

  • Red Error Indicator:
If the red Error light is blinking, it may indicate a problem with the automatic cutter, overheating of the print head, or an empty paper roll. If the Error light stays on, try unplugging the printer for 5–10 minutes to let it “rest.”

  • Red Paper Indicator:
If the red Paper light is blinking, the printer is signaling that it has run out of paper.
