Printers of the XPrinter C260 series (LAN or BT version, 80 mm paper width) allow you to adjust the sound signal when printing orders.
This guide is useful if you use the printer in a kitchen or a noisy environment where it’s important for the printer to indicate a new order with light or sound.
1. Check the hardware setting (beeper switch)
Before adjusting software settings, make sure the beeper — the sound notification function — is turned on.
At the bottom of the printer, there’s a small rocker switch labeled No. 2 – set it to the ON position.
| Note: If the switch is OFF, the printer won’t beep even if it’s enabled in the program. |
2. Preparing for software setup
To adjust the sound signal, you’ll need to use the XPrinter V3.0C configuration tool, which works only on Windows devices.
You will need:
- Driver – select version XPC 80 – Download ⬇
- XPrinter V3.0C – configuration tool – Download ⬇
- WinRAR – used to extract files – Download ⬇
Steps:
- Download both files (program and driver).
- The files are in .rar format — extract them using WinRAR.
- Open and install XPrinter.exe.
- During installation, accept the License Agreement.
-
After installation, change the language – the program starts in Chinese, so click “English” in the bottom right corner.
- The program is only available in English.
- The driver also appears in Chinese — don’t forget to change it to English as well.
Connecting the printer:
- Connect the printer to your computer via the USB cable included in the package.
- If you have a LAN version of the printer, it needs to be connected both to the router using a LAN cable and to the computer via USB. Please select the USB connection option in the program.
3. Verify the connection
After connecting, open XPrinter V3.0C and select the USB connection port.
Then click “Print.”
If a test page prints, everything is set up correctly.
You may also see the message “Data reported successed,” which means the connection to the printer was successful.
4. Setting the sound mode
In the program:
- Open the Content tab.
-
Clear the text field and check the box “HEX.”
-
Copy and paste one of the command codes (see below).
Enter them one by one – the program cannot process multiple commands at once. - Send each command by clicking “Print.”
After sending a code successfully, the printer will flash or beep.
