Table Map

The table map allows you to display tables in a graphical layout based on your venue, so the staff can orient themselves more quickly while working at the cash register.

Important

  • The table map is available only on larger cash registers with 14" and 15" screens. It is not displayed on smaller devices.
  • To use the table map, you must first enable it in the web administration under Settings → POS Settings.
  • It only makes sense to set up the table map once you have already created table sections and the tables themselves. Without them, there is nothing to place on the map.

Setting up the table map in the web administration

After activation, you can find the table map in the web administration under Businesses → Table Map
The table map is configured separately for individual businesses and table sections:

  1. First, select the specific table section you want to edit.
  2. Then simply move the table by holding and dragging it to the desired place on the map.
  3. You can switch between individual sections and set the layout for each of them separately.
  4. For the change to appear on the device as well, you need to log out and log back in to the Storyous app.

Table map in the cash register

Once the feature is enabled, the first Sales section will display a graphical map based on the settings from the administration instead of the table and bill overview. After clicking on a specific table, you can continue working with it just as before, meaning you can open a bill, add items, close the bill, or create a new one.
