If you want to speed up your phone orders that you deliver yourself or offer for customer pickup, you can use the Takeaway Phone Orders option.
When creating an order online, you enter your customer’s details into the POS. Once you confirm the order and the customer calls again next time, you only need to enter the phone number and the customer details will be suggested from the history.
Creating a phone order
- In the POS, go to Sales.
- Press and hold New basket for a moment.

The Order by Phone order option will open:
- Fill in all required information: Name, Phone number.
- Select the order type: Delivery or Pickup.
- Also enter the address and the delivery/pickup time, and any note if applicable.
- By clicking Create order, a bill will open where you can add the products ordered by the customer.
- You can then put the order on a table (you can create a Delivery or Pickup table in the administration under Businesses – Tables) or pay it right away. The bill will be saved under the customer’s name.
If you have kitchen order printing enabled, after selecting the products a kitchen ticket will be printed for the chef, which also includes order information such as the customer’s name and pickup time.
| Important: Order tickets with customer details will be printed only if you enter the order on the main POS that has a kitchen printer paired with it. |
You will also find customer and order details on the receipt.
If the same customer orders from you again, simply start entering the phone number and the customers will appear. Just click the number and other details such as name and address will be filled in automatically.

Once the Storyous Assistant app is paired with the Storyous POS app, all incoming calls will be automatically synchronised with the Storyous POS app, so the waiter will not have to retype the phone number into Storyous. Pairing will be confirmed by the following message: "Synchronisation is enabled. The phone number calling this phone can be loaded directly from the POS.". When a customer calls the phone where you have the app installed, answer the call as usual and on the till press and hold New basket. In the phone order window, the customer's phone number will appear and you just need to tap it. If a customer is calling you for the first time, you need to fill in their details. If it is a returning customer, their details will be pre-filled after you click the phone number. Then continue according to the Creating a phone order section earlier in this article. Unpairing will be confirmed by the message Synchronisation is disabled; ongoing calls will not be transferred to the POS. |
