Once Storyous Assistant is paired with the Storyous POS sales application, all incoming calls will be automatically synchronized with Storyous POS, so the staff will no longer need to manually enter the phone number into the system. The app runs in the background, meaning once it is set up, there is no need to open it again.
How to pair Storyous Assistant with the Storyous POS sales application
- Open the Menu in the application (three horizontal lines in the top left corner).
- Go to the Devices section.
- In the External Applications menu, select Storyous Assistant.
- A QR code will be displayed—scan it with your mobile phone.
Once pairing is successful, you will see this confirmation message:
"Synchronization is enabled. The phone number calling this device can now be retrieved directly from the register."
How does it work?
Now, you can set the phone aside and wait for a customer call. The app runs in the background, so you don’t need to keep it open.
When a customer calls to place an order, simply go to the Sales section and long-press the New Order button. A phone order entry screen will appear. In the "Phone Number" field, select the number of the customer you are currently speaking with.

If you have previously spoken with this customer from this phone number and entered their contact details and address, the app will automatically fill in their information.
- If this number is calling for the first time, the app will automatically save the data for future orders.
Then, you can choose whether the customer will pick up the order or have it delivered. Fill in the address and pickup/delivery time, then click Create Order.
A quick order will be created, named after the customer's name and address. You can then add the products they want, and when ready, simply close the bill by clicking Pay All or Pay Separately.
How to unpair Storyous POS from Storyous Assistant
If you want to disable synchronization between Storyous POS and Storyous Assistant, go to the app on your mobile phone and click "Unpair Register".
You will see a confirmation message:
"Synchronization is disabled, ongoing calls will no longer be transferred to the register."
