Solutions to the Most Common Issues in the POS Application

In this article, you will find solutions to the most common issues that may occur in the Storyous app. Simply click on a specific problem and more information, along with instructions on how to resolve it, will appear. 

⬇️ Bills are not printing, but their copies are
Bill are not printing, but receipt copies and the test print do work, and the printer status in the device section shows as online? It is very likely that Digital print is enabled. At the payment confirmation window, please check whether you see the notification Digital print, bills will not be printed. 

If you see the notification and the Digital option in the blue window, click on Digital and select Bill. From that moment on, bills will print automatically whenever you close a bill. The system will remember this setting for future sales. 

 
 

⬇️ I don't see all receipts in POS

This may happen if the tablet is logged in under a user with the role of Waiter or Stock Keeper. These roles will only see their own bills from the last 48 hours. A user with the Newbie role has no access to bills at all, while higher roles (Chief, Manager, Stock Controller, and Admin) can see bills from the last 30 days. The full bill history is always available in your web administration in section Bills -> Bills. 

Try logging out either by clicking on your initials in the top right corner or by opening the Menu ≡ and selecting the log out icon. Then choose another user role with higher permissions, or contact someone with higher user permissions.

User roles can be changed and their permissions configured in the web administration under Setup → Users.


 

⬇️ I can't close the daily summary

This usually happens if your internet connection went down and you were working in Offline mode. In that case, receipts could not synchronize and save properly to our server. Once the tablet reconnects to the internet, the receipts will automatically synchronize and appear in your administration, after which you will be able to close the daily summary. The time it takes depends on the number of unsynchronized bills. 

If the problem persists, try connecting the POS to a different network or a hotspot and then switch it back to the network dedicated to Storyous POS systems.
