If you offer your customers the option to place orders and have them delivered via Foodora (Delivery Hero), it is now possible to integrate these orders with the Storyous point of sale system. If you are interested in this integration, please contact our sales department.
How to activate the integration?
You can now activate the integration via the web admin panel. Simply click on ⚙️ "settings" and then select the "Storyous Integration" option.
Important: To activate the integration, please first contact Foodora, which will send you an activation code. |
How does the integration work?
You will continue to receive orders on your Foodora tablet. After accepting the order, it will automatically be sent to the Storyous tablet. The order will automatically be assigned to the DH table: you do not need to manually create this table, it will be created automatically after the integration is enabled. You will find individual orders on this table, or in the "Orders" section, which you can access via the left panel menu.
Because the orders are automatically transferred to the Storyous tablet, an order will be printed in the kitchen (if you have order printing set up), and Foodora sales will automatically be included in your total sales, so you won’t have to manually re-enter them. In order for the Foodora orders to be included in Storyous sales, you need to finalize the order by clicking the "Release" button.
How to set it up?
You will still manage the menu in Foodora's admin panel; there is no need to change anything there. However, you need to pair the Storyous products with your products on Foodora, so that the point of sale system can accept the orders. If the products are not paired, the order will not be transferred to the Storyous system. The Foodora order itself will not be affected, but you will need to manually enter the order into Storyous to include it in your total sales.
How to pair items?
Every product you offer on Foodora must also exist in Storyous. If you offer the option to add extra ingredients (e.g., extra toppings for pizza, bread options, etc.) on Foodora, these "Ingredients" need to be paired with Storyous "Additions".
Pairing items must be done in the Foodora admin panel:
- Log into the admin panel and go to the Menu Management section.
- Click on the item you want to pair and enter the POS Item ID from Storyous in the "POS code" field.
- This must be done for all items offered on Foodora.
Where to find product IDs in Storyous?
In the Storyous web admin panel, go to the Businesses section and the Products tab. In the product list, you will see a column labeled ID, which contains the POS ID for each product. If you do not see this column, click on the Edit columns button.
You can also export the products to an Excel file, where you will find the ID column as well.
In addition to pairing products, it is crucial to pair Additions, which are set up as Ingredients on Foodora. To pair these, you must use the Additions function in Storyous. Each Addition has its own ID, which you will enter into the "Ingredient" details on Foodora.
The integration can only be activated after pairing the products.
Let’s look at a specific example:
-
In the Foodora admin panel, we have a product called Best Burger, which is also in the Storyous admin panel. We open the Storyous admin panel and find the ID of this product, which we will enter into the Foodora admin panel. Don’t forget to save this change in the Foodora admin panel.
-
We allow our customers to add extra ingredients, such as bacon, cheese, mushrooms, to the burger. We need to create these "Ingredients" in the Foodora admin panel and "Additions" in the Storyous admin panel and then pair them using their ID.
If you offer the option to order without extra ingredients on Foodora, there is no need to add an ingredient like "without anything". In the Foodora admin panel, you simply set the minimum and maximum number of "Ingredients", similar to how Additions are set up in Storyous.
What to be aware of:
- If even just one product or one addition (extra ingredient) from the entire order is not properly linked with the POS code, the order will not be transferred from the Foodora tablet to the Storyous system.
- Remember that whenever you link Ingredients in Foodora, you must pair them using the corresponding POS code of the Addition in Storyous. The Addition must always exist as a product in Storyous.
When an order is accepted on the Foodora tablet, it will be transferred to the main Storyous tablet and automatically accepted. If the main Storyous tablet is turned off or disconnected from the internet, and you are using other Storyous tablets, you will need to manually accept the order.
Foodora orders in the Storyous web admin panel:
In the Storyous web admin panel, you will find Foodora receipts in the Accounts section, under the Receipts tab, where you can filter them by DH table and payment type "Paid in advance". They are also available in the Overview section, under the External Orders tab.
