What is Qerko and what does it do?

Qerko is a solution for fast and convenient payment and ordering in gastronomy venues using a QR code. Each table has a code that the customer scans with the Qerko app. The customer can pay for the full bill or just a part. After payment, the bill in Storyous is automatically closed and marked as paid via Qerko in the summaries.

Benefits of Qerko:

Activation in Storyous

You can activate Qerko directly in the Storyous web admin via the gear icon > Integrations

To enable it, click the “activate” button and enter the Qerko API key (provided by Qerko).

Display in admin and POS

  • In both the web admin and POS, payments via Qerko are marked as the payment type “Qerko.”

  • These payments also appear in the sales reports.

Things to watch out for:

  • Only one bill per table should be present when loading items.
  • Items are not grouped – e.g. “4× Beer” will appear as four separate lines.
  • Tips from Qerko do not appear in Storyous closures – staff see tips in the Qerko app.
  • Qerko uses PayU/Adyen and ČSOB – merchants usually receive funds within 2–3 business days.

Troubleshooting

  • Check synchronization and internet connection, especially on the main (master) device.

  • Ensure Do Not Disturb mode is not enabled – the payment notification shows on the tablet for only 5 minutes and may go unnoticed.

  • The payment confirmation from Qerko is printed automatically only on the main (master) device – it does not print in other zones.
