How to Work with a Bluetooth Scanner in the Web Admin and POS

To link products with their barcodes, you need to enter the EAN code in the product details of each item you wish to scan and sell.

In the "Businesses" section, under the "Products" tab, you will find the products you want to scan. Using the pen icon in the last column, open the product detail. In the EAN field, enter the product’s barcode. Once this is done, you can scan products at the POS. (All changes made in the admin will take effect in the POS after logging out and back in.)

In the Storyous web admin, you will mainly use the scanner when creating or editing stock cards and products. Click into the EAN field and then scan the barcode with the scanner. Be sure to save the changes so they sync to the app on your tablet. Log out and log back in to apply the changes.

When you use the scanner to mark goods in the Storyous POS app on your tablet, the item will be added to either an open account or a new order will be created.

NFC/RFID Card Reader for Logging into Storyous

Logging into the application can be even easier and faster than before using an NFC/RFID card. This card reader connects to your POS via a USB cable (it can only be connected to a 14" or 15" terminal). We will provide you with the login cards along with the reader.
