Set menus

In the Reports Menu Sets section, you will find an overview of which menu sets are the best-selling in your business and how they perform within the selected period. This section helps you quickly evaluate their popularity and efficiency.

Menu sets are a feature that allows you to create a complete menu consisting of multiple courses. For each menu set, you can set a fixed price that is independent of the prices of the individual products included in the set.

Important: To activate the menu sets feature, you need to contact our customer support team.
Note: Chart controls, date range selection, data comparison, and export options are the same across all reports. For a detailed description, see Working with reports and statistics.

Data in the report

In the overview, you will find basic metrics related to the sale of menu sets.

  • Set menus sold – shows the total number of all sold menu sets in the selected period. This is the sum of all items on bills that were closed and paid.
  • Gross takings – represents the sum of sales prices of all sold products without deducting costs. These are revenues before accounting for purchase prices or ingredients.
  • Costs – these are the purchase prices of ingredients and products used for all sold items in the selected period. The value is taken from inventory cards and their purchase prices in the accounting period.
  • Margin – expresses the ratio between gross revenue and costs of sold products. If the margin is low or negative, we recommend checking inventory card prices, recipes, or the product’s selling price.
    Formula: Margin = (Gross takings – Costs) / Gross takings × 100 %

Note: The recommended margin should not be lower than 60%. If the margin is negative, check:

  • the correctness of product selling prices,
  • inventory cards (e.g. incorrectly entered purchase price),
  • or whether stock intake is missing.

For costs and margin to be calculated, it is necessary to have inventory management activated. Our add-on allows you to track all ingredients and costs easily and reliably – if you do not have it yet, simply contact our sales line and we will be happy to activate it for you.

You can easily export table data to Excel by clicking the “Export Table” button in the top right corner.
