You can find the Group Actions feature in the section Setup -> Products and Stocks -> Stock cards, where it helps you easily and quickly perform actions for multiple products or stock cards.
Group actions in Products
In the section Setup -> Products you can delete selected products in bulk, create a subcategory, move them to another category, change or set VAT rates, assign printers, and export recipes to PDF. If you have multiple businesses, you can also copy selected products between them including their recipes.
You can perform the action only for selected products by clicking the checkbox to the left of the product name, or for the entire category – select all products by clicking the checkbox in the table header.
Delete – deletes the product in the given business. If “All locations” is selected in the top right, the product will be deleted in all businesses.
Create a new subcategory – this function moves selected products to a subcategory. This can make work at the POS easier; for example, if your café has multiple types of Cheesecake, you can create a subcategory for easier navigation in the POS. Move to category – selected products can be moved to another category within the same business. You can find more about categories in the article Product categories.
Copy to another location – if you have multiple businesses, you can easily copy products between them. The product can also be copied together with its recipe and stock deduction settings.
Important: The product name, ID number, Marketing name, Description, EAN, and unit are the same for all businesses. If you change them in one business, the change will also apply to the others. |
Change VAT rate – this function helps you set VAT easily if you have become a VAT payer or want to change VAT rates for selected products. If you do not see the VAT option but you are a VAT payer, you can find more information in the article I have became a VAT payer.
Change printers – you can assign printers to selected products. For example, if you have received a new kitchen printer, you can set order printing to this new printer for multiple products at once.
Export recipes to PDF – you can save or print recipes for selected products this way. You can find how to set recipes in the article Recipe.
Group actions in the Stocks
In the section Stocks -> Stock cards you can change VAT in bulk, copy cards to another stock place, move them to another category, or delete them.
You can perform the action only for selected stock cards by clicking the checkbox to the left of the product name, or for all cards – select all stock cards by clicking the checkbox in the table header.
- Change VAT rate – helps you change the VAT rate on specific stock cards.
- Copy to a different stock – if you need one stock card in multiple stock places, you can easily copy it between them. Details such as name, VAT, unit, EAN, category, price, optimal quantity, recalculation, and variant will also be copied.
- Move to a different category – you can bulk set or change the category.
- Archive – available only in the Central stocks. The card will be moved to the archive, which you can find in the Central stock in the top right. In the archive you will instead find a group action button Restore, which returns the card back to the Central stocks.
- Delete – available only in specific stocks place. The card will be deleted only in the selected stock.
