Zones

Zones represent the division of your business in our internal system, based on which the system knows how individual tablets and printers communicate with each other. We will briefly describe how zones can be set up with us, in case you are unsure whether it is possible, for example, to have two cash registers and two mobile waiters assigned to each of them.

Note: All operations related to zones are handled by us, so if you would like advice on the setup, you can contact us via chat, our customer hotline or by email.

Primary and secondary cash registers within a zone

In every active zone, one cash register must be set as primary. (So if you have only one tablet and one printer, you can have only one active zone.)

Each zone always has one primary cash register, and several secondary cash registers can be assigned to the same zone.

Cash movement operations and end-of-day closing can, for example, only be performed on the primary cash register within a zone. However, if you have multiple zones and one active tablet in each, you can perform the closing on all cash registers. A closing performed on the primary cash register calculates the total revenue from all secondary cash registers within the given zone.

The division into primary and secondary cash registers also affects the printing of receipts, kitchen tickets, and access to certain features.

Primary (Master) cash register in the business

Regardless of the number of cash registers and thus zones in the business, one of the cash registers is always the master, meaning the primary cash register of the business. Only this register allows you to enter invoice payments or access offline mode in the event of an internet outage. You can identify it by the (M) after the device number on the login screen or in POS Settings.

Zones and warehouses

Based on zones, you can also configure inventory deductions in the web administration. In the Stocks section and the Stock list tab, you will see all your stock list and zones according to our internal system. Using checkboxes, you can set that everything registered on cash registers in one zone will be deducted from a different warehouse than products registered on cash registers in another zone.
