Zones in the System
Zones represent the division of your business within our internal system, which determines how tablets and printers communicate with each other. Below is a brief explanation of how zones can be set up in our system in case you are unsure whether, for example, you can have two cash registers and two mobile waiters assigned to each.
Note: All operations related to zones are handled by our team. If you need assistance with setting up zones, feel free to contact us via chat, customer support line, or email. |
Main and Secondary Tablets in a Zone
Each active zone must have one tablet assigned as the main tablet. (If you have only one tablet and one printer, you can have only one active zone.)
The main tablet in a zone is referred to as the cash register, while additional tablets are called mobile waiters. The distinction between main and secondary tablets affects receipt printing, kitchen order printing, and access to certain functions.
For example, cash operations and financial closures can only be performed on the tablet designated as the cash register. However, if you have multiple zones, each with an active tablet, you can complete financial closures from any of them. A closure performed on the main tablet will calculate the total revenue from all tablets within that specific zone.
Zones and Stocks
Zones also allow you to set up inventory deductions in the web administration. In the Stocks section under the Stock List tab, you can see all your warehouses and zones as configured in our internal system. Using checkboxes, you can define that all items recorded on tablets in one zone will be deducted from a different warehouse than items recorded on tablets in another zone.
Master Tablet in the Business
Regardless of the number of cash registers and zones in your business, there is always one master tablet, which serves as the main tablet for the entire business. Only this tablet allows payments by invoice and can access offline mode in case of an internet outage.
