First steps with the printer

How to Set Up Your New Printer?

Printers are used for printing receipts and order slips (e.g., for the kitchen). They use thermal printing, so you don’t need toner – just thermal paper (80mm wide). All Xprinter printers require a constant power supply.

Connecting the Printer

  1. Plug the printer adapter into a power source and turn it on using the button on the right side.
  2. Make sure the paper is loaded correctly (the paper roll should unwind upwards).

Connection Options

  • LAN: Connect the printer to the router using a LAN cable.
  • Bluetooth: Pair the printer with the POS system via Bluetooth.
  • USB: Connect the printer to the POS/tablet using a USB cable.

LAN Printer Setup

  1. Connect the printer via a LAN cable.
  2. Plug the cable into the port labeled "Net" on the back of the printer.
  3. After connecting, the green and orange LEDs next to the cable will light up.

Printing a Self-Test

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Feed button, turn the printer on, and release the button after 3 seconds.
  3. The printed document will contain the printer’s IP address.

Setting it Up in the POS System

  1. Open the Storyous app.
  2. Go to Settings > Printers.

  3. Select the printer that is offline.

  4. Click on the address and enter the IP address from the self-test printout.

  5. Confirm.
  6. Log out and log back into the Storyous app.

Setting up the Bluetooth printer

  1. Place the printer within 3 meters of the cash register/tablet, ideally next to each other.
  2. Do not place objects or metal materials around the printer that could interfere with the Bluetooth signal.
  3. Choose only one connection method for your printer: LAN, Bluetooth, or USB.
