Discounts and cancellations

In the Reports  Void and Discount Overview section, you will find information about which actions are most frequently used in your business – voids, discounts, refunds, reprinting receipts, or the Issued – Unpaid feature.

Note: Chart controls, date range selection, data comparison, and export options are the same across all reports. For a detailed description, see Working with reports and statistics.

Data in the report

In the void and discount overview you will find the following metrics:

  • Potential loss – the sum of the estimated financial value that arose due to a non-standard operation on the cash register.
  • Total bill amount incl. VAT – the total value of all bills that were closed and paid in the given period and on which one of the non-standard operations was used. Which operations these are exactly can be found in the article on Void and Discount Control.
  • Number of bills – the number of bills on which one of the non-standard operations was used.

Potential loss table

Below the graph, there is a table displaying an overview of potential losses caused by non-standard operations on the cash register. This table helps quickly identify areas where financial write-offs or reduced revenue may have occurred and provides insight into the type and scale of these operations.

The table contains indicators such as:

  • Type of non-standard operation – for example voiding a bill, deleting an item, applying a discount, or the Issued Unpaid feature.
  • Potential loss – the estimated financial value resulting from a specific non-standard operation.
  • Total bill amount – the total value of bills on which the given non-standard operation was used.
  • Number of bills – how many bills contained the given non-standard operation.

This overview allows you to quickly evaluate where write-offs or discounts occur and focus on possible discrepancies or improvements in internal processes.

You can easily export the table data to Excel by clicking the “Export table” option in the top-right corner.
