Kiosk settings

This guide contains all the important steps for setting up the kiosk according to your business needs.

1. Kiosk settings

In the administration, open Settings → Kiosk settings.

Welcome screen

Upload an image that will be displayed when the kiosk is inactive.

  • Recommended dimensions: 1200 × 1920 px
  • Orientation: portrait

Don't have a graphic designer? You can create a welcome screen using ChatGPT – click here and follow the instructions.

Kiosk languages

Select the languages that will be available on the kiosk:

  • Czech,
  • Slovak,
  • English.

The default language corresponds to the country where your business is located. However, the customer can change the language at any time during the order.

Order types

Set which types of orders the kiosk will support:

  • Takeaway only
  • Dine-in only
  • Both options

If you select both options, the customer will choose at the start of the order whether they want to dine in or have it as a takeaway. The selected option will be shown on the kitchen printout.

Order identification

For each order type, you can set how the order will be identified when it is collected.

Automatically assigned order number The order number is generated automatically within the range 001–999. It is printed on the customer receipt and on the kitchen printout, if you have set one up.
Name entered by the customer

The customer enters their name when completing the order. The name can contain a maximum of 2 words and 20 characters.

The customer can skip this step. In that case, an order number is generated automatically.

Pager number entered by the customer

The customer enters the number of the pager they have selected. This setting assumes that pagers numbered 001–999 will be placed next to the kiosk.

The pager number is printed on both the customer receipt and the kitchen printout. Once the order is complete, you can mark the order as ready in the pager administration and activate the pager alert.

Stand number entered by the customer

The customer enters the stand number. This setting assumes that stands numbered 001–999 will be placed next to the kiosk.

The stand number is printed on both the customer receipt and the kitchen printout, so that you know where to deliver the order.

Products offered as an upsell

Select up to 4 products that will be shown to the customer when completing the order. This offer can help you increase the average order value.

Allergens

You can turn the display of allergens for products on or off on the kiosk.

For allergens to be displayed, they must be set for each individual product. You can find the instructions in the next step.

2. Product settings

In the administration, open Businesses → Products.

Display on the kiosk

To display a product on the kiosk, activate the Show on kiosk option for it. You can find this setting directly in the column of the same name.

You can activate products individually or use bulk actions.

Product description

If you want to display more detailed information about a product to customers, fill in the Product description field. The description will be displayed below the product name on the kiosk.

Edit the description by clicking the pencil icon in the table, editing the description and saving the changes.

Images

Product images help make the offer more attractive to customers. Upload an image separately for each product: click the pencil icon in the table and upload the image.

The currently required image dimensions are 1024 × 1024 px. However, the kiosk automatically crops the image to 1024 × 765 px. Therefore, position the main object so that it remains clearly visible after cropping.

Don't have your own product photos? You can use ChatGPT or another artificial intelligence tool. First, prepare a list of the products for which you want to create images:

  1. In the Show on kiosk column, use the filter and select the products that you want to display on the kiosk.
  2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the table and select Export to CSV.
  3. In the exported table, copy the first column containing the product names.
  4. If necessary, edit the names to make them as precise as possible – for example, add the product type, packaging or portion size.
  5. Paste the list into and follow the instructions.
Allergens

Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the table and select the Allergens column to display it.

You can set allergens for individual products in the newly displayed column. To set them for multiple products at once, use bulk actions

3. Add-on settings

In the administration, open Businesses → Add-ons

Tips and tricks

Tracking kiosk sales

If you want to track sales from the kiosk, we recommend creating a special user, for example named Kiosk Sales, and logging in to the kiosk using this user.

You will then be able to track sales in the Reports → Users.

You can find instructions on how to create a user here. You will need to create a real email mailbox to which you will receive a link for setting your password.

  5. Drag and drop the file or select it from your device.

  6. Choose whether you want to use the image only for this business location or for multiple locations.
