The Item Discount feature allows you to flexibly apply discounts to specific products. You can offer discounts on products already selected in an order or on products that are being ordered.
You can apply:
- A percentage discount (%),
- Or a custom value in local currency (CZK).
Examples of use:
- Special offer: A customer orders a cappuccino, and you want to offer a 15% discount on this specific drink as part of a marketing campaign.
- Complaint: If a customer complains about the quality of a product, you can quickly and easily reduce the price of this product.
- Customer loyalty: You can offer a fixed discount, such as 20 CZK, on a regular customer’s usual product as a thank-you for their loyalty.
In addition to the discount, you can also add a reason for granting it. This reason will be displayed in the system and will help with discount tracking, sales analysis, and potential complaints. You can set discount notes in the web administration under Settings → Bill.
How the feature looks in the POS system
New order:
Long press on the product to open the Product details dialog.
Click on Show additional options.
Click the blue No discount button and select from the suggested options, or click on Custom value.
If you choose a custom value, clicking on the percentage icon to switch to the option to enter the discount in CZK.
You can also add note as reason of the discount.
After entering the discount, you’ll see the original price of the product crossed out, and the new price displayed next to it.
You can then find the discount directly in the app under Bills History. The discount on a product can be seen in the Items Overview at the bottom right.
And also on the printed Bill.
Existing order:
The procedure is the same as with a new order, but you simply long press on the product that is already in the order.
How the feature looks in the web administration
Item discounts are now recorded in the Cancellations and discounts control section. This allows you to easily track all discounts applied to individual items.
By clicking on the cancellation detail (i), you will see the exact information about the applied discount.
Important Information

Replacing the "Business Account" function with the new Item Discount function:
Once the Item Discount function is activated for a customer, the "Business Account" feature will completely disappear from the app. This step is necessary for technical reasons. It also means that these products will now be tracked in the "Canceled Items and Discounts Review" in the administration, which the previous function did not support.

How do I prevent access to this feature?
The Item Discount feature shares permissions with regular discounts. This means that only employees with permission to apply discounts to the entire order can use this feature. You can set permissions in the Places -> Users section.
