In this article, you will find solutions to the most common issues that may occur when connecting your Storyous POS to a Teya terminal or when using the mobile waiter, where the POS applications and the Teya payment gateway are part of a single All-in-One PAX A920 Pro device.
Basic troubleshooting
If the connection to the terminal gateway is not working, check the following:
-
Internet connection:
- On the POS, open the Storyous app and click on Stability check (tablet icon in a grey circle in the top right corner). If you are not connected to the internet, you will see a warning here. By clicking on the warning, you will be taken to the system settings of the POS.
- On the terminal, open the Teya Payments app. If you are not connected to the internet, you will see a red warning at the top. Then just pull down the top bar and switch on Mobile data + 4G or Wi-Fi. If you press and hold one of these options for longer, you will be taken to the settings.
| Important: A device with the payment gateway can only be connected to a secured Wi-Fi network with a password. |
- Log out of the Storyous app and log in again (ideally with a password). Click on the three dots to the right of the username and then on Log out.
- Restart the terminal and the POS by holding down the lock button on the right-hand side.
Checking the payment terminal settings
Make sure that the Teya Payments app is running on the terminal – you can see the Teya logo and the name of your venue. If you see the Start button, set up the payment gateway according to the article Connecting Storyous with the Teya payment terminal.
Setting up the Mobile Waiter All-in-One
Check the terminal app connection in the Storyous app:
- In the Storyous app, go to the Menu ≡ in the top left corner and select Settings -> Payment terminal. If you see Paired terminal name: Teya Payments, the terminal app is connected. If you see a different device, click on Remove and select + Pair terminal. Pair Teya Payments App on this device.
Check that the Teya Payments app is configured – when you open it, you will see the manual payment entry screen (calculator), or the Payment from POS mode (Teya logo and the name of your venue). If you see the Start button, you need to set up the payment gateway according to the article Setting up the Mobile Waiter All-in-One with the Teya payment gateway above.
