Stocks in Premium Analytics

The Stocks section is used to track stock movements and for ongoing stock level control. In one place, it brings together an overview of Inventory, Stock-ups, Stock transfers and Write-offs, helping you spot differences more quickly, check goods movements and better understand what is happening in stock.

In this section, you will find four main parts:

Each of these parts is divided into three tabs, where you can switch between an overall overview, detailed records and a view by specific items.

Inventory

The Inventory subsection is used to check differences between the recorded and actual stock levels. It helps you quickly identify whether any differences occurred during stocktaking, what their value is and which stocks or items they concern.

  • The Overview tab mainly shows the amount of inventories, the amount of items with difference, the Inventory balance with VAT and without VAT, the % Inventory balance and also a comparison of Inventory balance by stock.
  • The Details tab is suitable when you need to check specific inventories. It includes the date, inventory ID, merchant, stock, user, counted value, value before inventory and the resulting Inventory balance with VAT and without VAT.
  • The By item tab helps identify which stock items most often show differences. You can view the item, category, VAT rate, unit, difference, balance in % and the Inventory balance value with VAT and without VAT.

This part is especially useful when:

  • you need to check the inventory result
  • you want to identify items with the biggest difference
  • you are comparing differences between stocks
  • you are looking for recurring stock discrepancies

Stock-ups

The Stock-ups subsection is used to track received goods and the stock-up value. It is useful for checking deliveries, comparing suppliers and monitoring the value and frequency of stock-ups.

  • The Overview tab shows the stock-up value with VAT and without VAT, the amount of stock-ups, the top suppliers by stock-up value, the stock-up value over time and also a table breakdown by supplier.
  • The Details tab is used to check individual stock-up documents. It includes the merchant, stock, document number, date, user, supplier and the stock-up value with VAT and without VAT.
  • The By item tab is suitable when you need to track stock-ups by specific items. It shows the stock item, category, unit, quantity, amount of stock-ups, stock-up value with VAT and without VAT and the average price. In the same section, you will also find a breakdown by supplier and item.

This part is especially useful when:

  • you want to check the value of received goods for a selected period
  • you need to compare suppliers with each other
  • you are looking for a specific stock-up by document or stock
  • you want to see which items are stocked up most often

Stock transfers

The Stock transfers subsection is used to track goods transfers between stocks. It helps check what goods are being transferred, between which stocks the movement takes place and the value of these transfers.

  • The Overview tab shows the stock transfer value with VAT and without VAT, the amount of transfers, the most used transfer routes, transfers over time and also a comparison of transfers by stock.
  • The Details tab is used to check individual transfers. It includes the date, the stock from which the goods were transferred, the target stock, the user, the note, the amount of items and the price with VAT and without VAT.
  • The By item tab helps track which stock items are included in stock transfers. You can view the date, the stock from which the goods were transferred, the target stock, the specific stock item, the unit, the quantity and the price with VAT and without VAT.

This part is especially useful when:

  • you need to check the movement of goods between stocks
  • you are dealing with differences between stocks
  • you want to verify when and where the goods were transferred
  • you are tracking specific items in stock transfers

Write-offs

The Write-offs subsection is used to check goods that have been written off from stock. It helps track the extent of write-offs and makes it easier to identify which items, stocks or periods are linked to higher losses.

  • The Overview tab offers a quick summary of write-offs for the selected period. It includes the write-off value with VAT and without VAT, the amount of write-offs, a comparison of write-off value by stock and also a breakdown of write-offs by merchant and stock.
  • The Details tab is used to check individual records. You can view the date, write-off ID, merchant, stock, user, stock item, unit, quantity and the write-off value with VAT and without VAT, including price.
  • The By item tab helps track which stock items are most frequently affected by write-offs and at what value. It shows the item, category, unit, quantity, the amount of write-offs, the write-off value with VAT and without VAT and the average price.

This part is especially useful when:

  • you want to have a better overview of stock write-offs
  • you need to find specific write-offs for a selected period
  • you are tracking which items generate the biggest losses
  • you are comparing write-offs between stocks or locations
  • you want to verify who performed the write-off and which stock it concerned

Working with filters

The Filters and controls panel on the left side of the screen is also available in the Stocks section. Depending on the selected view, you can narrow the data for example by Date range, Merchant, Stock, User, Stock category, Stock item, VAT rate or note. In Stock-ups, the Supplier filter is also available, and in Stock transfers there are filters for Stock (from) and Stock (to).

You can find a more detailed guide to working with filters in the article Working with filters in Premium Analytics.

Tip: For day-to-day work, it is worth starting with a broader view for the selected period and then narrowing the data using filters or switching to a specific tab depending on whether you are dealing with products, margin, days or hours.
