The Storyous POS application, through which you sell goods, runs on the Android operating system. Occasionally, while using the Storyous system, you may encounter situations where you need to exit the sales application and work briefly in the Android interface.
Software Buttons
On your device, you will find three software buttons used to control the system, not only when using the Storyous POS app. The left button takes you back within an active program, the middle button takes you to the home screen of the Android operating system, and the right button allows you to open a window displaying the currently active applications. On Lenovo tablets, the buttons are represented by three basic geometric shapes: a triangle, a circle, and a square.
Settings
You can find the system settings mostly on the home screen under the gear icon. If you don't see this icon on your screen, you can certainly find the settings in the Android menu (3), where you will see all the applications on your device.
Internet and Bluetooth
The Storyous system communicates with our servers via the internet, so for long-term use, a stable connection is required. If you have an LAN printer in your business, you will also need a connection to the correct network for printing receipts or kitchen orders. The internet settings can be found in the settings under the first tab (4). Bluetooth technology allows communication between your tablet and BT printers, payment terminals, or barcode scanners. You can find Bluetooth settings in the Android settings just below the internet connection management (5).
Moving the Storyous POS Application Icon to the Desktop
If, for any reason, the Storyous POS application icon (6) disappears from your main screen, you can move it back by opening the Android menu, searching for the app, and then pressing and holding it. The operating system will then offer you the option to move the icon to a selected spot on the Android desktop.
Restoring the Operating System to Factory Settings
It is unlikely that you will need to reset your device to factory settings, as this is a last-resort solution for system crises, during which all user data is erased, and the operating system is returned to the state it was in when first used. After this action, you will need to reinstall the Storyous POS app on your device. However, to ensure proper configuration, you will need to contact our customer support or use the chat for assistance. The system reset can be found in the Android settings under the "System" tab, under the "Reset Options" button (7), and then under the "Erase Data" button (8).
